Mammoth Trip, July 2007

Most years, the Ricks family does a reunion trip to Mammoth, California, but this was the first year that Neil got to go with us.  This is Horseshoe Lake.  Many of the trees have died around there due to the fumes from the volcano.  Neil, Pamela, and Rachel.

There is a hike to Lake McLeod right above Horseshoe Lake.  My niece Rachel and I walked along it.

Honeymoon - Venice, July 2007

Our final destination on our honeymoon was Venice, Italy.  It was literally was a dream come true!  I always wanted to go to Venice on my honeymoon.  True, I would have been happy with Carmel, but since I married a man who loves to travel as much as me, my wishes came true.  Every photo of this magical city was fabulous.  We spent 3 days there.  Sadly, we had to go home after that, but we will always have fond memories of the joyful, romantic days that we spent on our honeymoon.

Honeymoon - Budapest, July 2007

Budapest, Hungary was the other former Communist gem that we visited.  It is famous for the parliament building, but we had the most fun at the Turkish baths.

Honeymoon - Prague, July 2007

Prague is a gem hidden by Communism for 50 years.  They have done such a good job restoring things here.  I especially loved the blue buildings.
