Christmas in Utah 2008

Once again, we went to Utah the week before Christmas.  As usual, we had to stop at Temple Square to see the lights.  This is where I served my mission and Christmas was a magical time.
On our way back from Utah we stopped in Las Vegas and stayed at the Luxor.  We stopped to visit the Bellagio Christmas decorations.
Neil's sister-in-law Lisa finally got a Christmas tree tall enough to fit in her window.  Elaina, Neil's niece Maddie, his brother Paul, and I are sitting around the Christmas tree.  We celebrated our Carter family gift exchange.
In the next photo, Elaina's Aunt Leslie is holding her at the Abegglen family Christmas party.
We stopped to visit Grandpa Hales in Springville, UT.  Elaina is holding her favorite Snowman.
Elaina and I are standing in front of Laura Lee's house in Cedar city.  We are lucky we made it there
in a snow storm that spread from the Cajon Pass in California to Southern Utah.
The final picture is of a snowstorm in the California desert.  How often do you see snow on cactus and Joshua trees?
